The surrounding area is full of unique places worth visiting. Reszel is one of them. A medieval city full of monuments,   gothic bridges, and the castle of the bishops of Warmia and a restored parish church. Histroy passionates, you can make a trip to Wilczy Szaniecin, the headquarters of Adolf Hitler during World War 2 or to the 400 years old monastery in Wojnowo. Children will not be bored either, if you care to vist the Wild Animal Park in Kadziłowo or the Deer Farm in Kosewo.

You can rent kayaks in the nearby Ukta – a cruise along Krutynia river is an unforgettable experience. Another interesting alternative is a kayak cruise from Czos Lake in Mrągowo to Sanctuary in Święta Lipka. For people who do not like rowing it is possible to rent yachts and motorboats in Mikołajki or ride horses in ‘Klonek’ nearby.
